Finding Little Sister Cafe was an unplanned surprise. Driving down Central Park drive in Henderson one Sunday morning heading to our normal eats, which turned out to be in the middle of a fire evacuation, we looked across the road to find a delightful little find that we had to try.
Firstly – there is so much to look at in this cafe! From the old school school seats, to the quirky menu board, the amazing cabinet display of food, all the knick knacks strung around the place and the food coming out in gorgeous arrays, this cafe is a genuine feast on the eyes. And I love me some cafe watching!
Next up is the food choices. There is an abundance of cabinetry food, off the menu and also cakes and slices making it difficult to make a decision. So me and my girlfriend Joss decided we would order one round, wait for it to settle and order another! Perfect!
I ordered the standard big breakfast which was fresh and clean and then went in for seconds for a coconut lemon cake. One of our littlies ordered the pancakes which also came with a decoration of candy floss on top, so cute! There are also a TONNE of vegan and vegetarian choices available.
Pricing is average and what you would expect for an Auckland cafe sitting in around the $45 bracket for 2 people including coffees.
One warning, is perhaps try and come off peak as the cafe is crazy busy and with only a small space, once it gets a little crowded, you can feel the cram.
